SOLD- vintage Dru Holland cast iron enamel cookware- set $85

Dru Holland set the standard for cast iron cookware, believe you me. Dru's iconic blue tulip pieces were found in all the best mid-century kitchens, and were even spotted in the recent Julia Child movie "Julia," starring Meryl Streep. seattle junk love is offering you a 5-piece set containing a #12 saucepan and two baking dishes- a #25 and a #20, both with their proper lids. the pans are nearly perfect, with just some very minor surface marks on the white enamel, and the only chips to be found are on the lids. you'll be the envy of all your friends when you show up to the next potluck sporting your Dru ware. this stuff is genius- the pan goes from stovetop to the oven in 2 seconds flat, cleans with ease and makes cooking even the most mundane things a retro dream. perfect for your vintage kitchen, or anyone, really, who loves to cook with cast iron.

SOLD cast iron number eights- pair $11

this is about as straightforward as it gets. for sale is a pair of cast iron 8's that i dug out of a long-ago retired boeing engineer's workshop this morning. it was the type of sale that you dream about during those (long, dark winter) months when there's nothing interesting out there... anyway, who doesn't need a pair of eights? they're not crazy. (coffee mug is for scale only. not for sale.)

SOLD- antique painted iron firewood holder- $28

if you have a fireplace with a hearth, then you should probably consider adding this to your fireside situation. it's purely simple in its form and function, but with lots of rough-hewn good looks thrown in for fun. does your firewood caddy have this much going for it? not likely. (but if it does, nicely done.) of course, you can also use this to hold towels, blankets, magazines, shoes by the front door... whatevs.

SOLD- rustic, vintage cast-iron owl lantern- $75

this classic early 20th century cast iron owl lantern comes to you from an estate in dallas, texas, and the neighborhood of deep ellum. and if you know anything about deep ellum, then you know this owl has seen some pretty cool sh*t in his day. deep ellum became a hub of industry in 1884 with the construction of a number of mills and factories, and later famously spawned dallas' early jazz, blues, punk rock, and arts scene- a pretty cool place for our owl-friend to have lived his life. he stands about 11 perfectly rustic inches tall, and has an attached ring for easy hanging. place a candle beneath him, and he'll beautifully radiate like only an owl can. almost too good looking to be trapped indoors, and perhaps too pretty to sit outside in the rain. so, it's a good thing he's cast iron- you can do just about whatever you want with him and he'll endure.
