pink plastic = good. great typeface = better. the fact that you're finding them here on my blog = best. not a lot to say about these gems as they're fairly straightforward- functional, darling, and simple to use. who doesn't need more canisters in their life??
a glass carafe is a useful thing. but, it's not often you find one that's also beautiful. and one that comes with a sweet, sculptural wooden stopper. here is a set of 3 lovely, vintage glass carafes- ready to contain whatever you deem worthy. i've chosen coins, lentils, and birthday candles. maybe you'll choose wine, vodka and gin? seems more sensible, for sure, but it's your call once they're yours.

back in the day, these penguin-logo'd containers were used to refrigerate your favorite wholesome, fresh foods. today, we have tupperware. i like today. but, i also really, really like these Vapocan waxed cardboard containers with clear plastic lids! there's a complete set of 10, all with the sweet blue penguin and cross-hatch motif. it's a real throwback to 1950's design. maybe use them this holiday season for gift boxes, or label each one and store your nails, screws, nuts and bolts in a neat, organized fashion. these will look great anywhere you put em.
if you're the type of person who likes to keep your beans separate from your wiener, then these 70's era colorful plastic plates are your idea of a good time. as a bonus, they also have room for your potato salad, and even a designated spot for your drink cup. a set of 7 plates means you can invite the family over for dinner, or simply eat on a different plate every night of the week before you have to wash dishes.

a gorgeous relic of early 20th century dutch distiller, erven lucas, this hand-thrown, salt glazed bottle is simply gorgeous to look at. but, it wall also gladly function as a vase, a piggy bank, a door stop, or a serving carafe. (stands 11.5" and is 3" in diameter.) the original cap is still attached.
if you're country and western, then these most certainly belong in your kitchen or bbq patio. there's no better salt shaker & pepper mill in the U.S. of A than these 10" wooden gems. they're decorated with real rope and proudly sport painted-on cattle brands and squinty-eyed steers. salt and pepper never tasted or looked this good.
learn how to make every cocktail you've ever imagined AND an hors d'oeuvre to pair with it. this completely mint set of "the 2 in 1 International Recipe Card Collection for Mixed Drinks and Hors D'oeuvre" is straight out of 1977- there's a section for all your favorites, from rye to punch to scotch to tequila to vodka to beer and ale, etc. on the front of each card is a drink recipe and an amazing photo that only the 1970's could have produced, and on the back of the card is a recipe for the accompanying food item. impress your friends and family at your next party- they'll be glad you went out on a limb and purchased this. really, it's a crowd pleaser.
this vintage Ayers pure wool blanket arrives just in the nick of time to beat back those crisp fall nights and frigid winter mornings. you're going to want this cozy blanket for your bed, couch, or 1956 original stickley windsor chair. i pretty much guarantee it. ayers blankets hail from quebec canada, where they know a thing or two about staying warm. (73"x58" in creamy white/pale minty green/lemon yellow. what's not to love??)

right out of the 70's, this awesome yellow sunburst pattern Pyrex decanter with lid is ready to serve your favorite drinks. How bout a pink pussycat? (as shown in photo) or maybe a salty dog? or a pitcher of dry gin martinis?? or, even better, a scratch margarita. shoot, i'm getting off track... also included in the purchase are 2 swell vintage plastic Woodhue Thermoware cups- gorgeous faux woodgrain and bright yellow. Put the joy of drinking back into your days and nights.
who doesn't love a wise old owl? these vintage glazed ceramic bookends arrived in seattle via japan and are now ready to prop up your favorite books with professionalism and good looks. they are 8.5"H x 4.25W x 3.5"D. give a hoot and buy these today.

owls. can't live with em, can't live without em- that's what i always say. hang these darlings on your wall, or as i've done, the garage door. seems like an owl operates best when outdoors? hard to say, but it's your call once you own these guys. they're good sized and in great shape- groovey and kitschy and only $35. a steal.
never misplace your car keys, fishing boat keys, or dog keys ever again. this handy 1960's era handcrafted wooden key holder with darling decals (car, fish, and dog) will be your new best friend. eliminate, once and for all, endless hours of frustration searching for your lost set of keys. (JH, i may or may not be speaking directly to you here... but, in a friendly, helpful sort of way.) anyway, someone should give this gem a new home- it's time for it to be put back to work again.
